But as Lightman well knows, his scientific ability is both a blessing and a curse in his personal life, where family and friends deceive each other as readily as criminals and strangers do. Enjoy the complete collection of Lie to Me including all 3 seasons and featuring an all-star cast led by Tim Roth, Kelli Williams, Brendan Hines and Monica Raymund!
A formative part of many childhoods and the definitive television adaptation of the Daily Express's much-loved cartoon strip, The Adventures of Rupert Bear was a massively successful puppet series by Mary Turner and John Read. Featuring the most singable theme tune in television history, the series captivated a generation of younger viewers and cemented Rupert's popularity forever. Each episode saw the colourfully attired little bear enjoying a host of fantastic adventures with his friends, including Bill Badger, Edward Trunk, Podgy Pig, Algy Pug and ill-tempered twig-creature Raggety with his flying go-kart often taking him to strange, faraway lands before whisking him back to his mother and father's house in Nutwood just in time for tea! 156 episodes were made over four series with more than half previously believed to be either lost or held on an inferior format. Thankfully, the original film materials have now been unearthed and new transfers made for this release. This volume contains the 52 episodes from series one and two.

Get the last word in! This is an uproarious race to have the final say! To play, each player draws one subject card, looks at it and holds it in his or her hand, hidden form the other players. Then a letter card needs to be read aloud and placed face-up on the space provided, and the race is on. All players now try to come up with a word that starts with that letter and also fits the category of the subject card they hold. So for example, everyone might have to think of a vegetable beginning with ‘c’. The timer, cleverly programmed to go off at random intervals, means everyone has to race the timer to get the last word in! The player with the highest score at the end of the game, wins! This game is full of excitement and promises hours of screams and laughs along with some intense fun. This game is a prefect after dinner game. The game is for 2 – 8 players and suitable for ages 8 and up. Contents: Playing Boards 250 subject and 50 letter cards 8 coloured pawns 8 trade-in pieces electronic random timer (takes 3 AAA batteries – not included)# instructions Warnings: Not suitable for children under 36 months, small parts, choking hazard.
Hello. Mark Watson here. You've seen me on various TV stand-up shows perhaps, or hosting Never Mind The Buzzcocks, or you've tuned in to my own Radio 4 series, or read my books, or you've never quite done any of these things but have been waiting patiently for your moment. Well, this could be it. This is my eagerly-awaited debut DVD, which I recorded at a sold-out Bristol Hippodrome in July 2011 (I realise the previous sentence sounds a bit cocky, but it's the way people talk in advertising blurbs.). Anyway, it was a pretty lively show, with extreme audience participation, death-defying acts, and a devastating assault of jokes and stories. I also wave my arms around a lot and yell and there's a bit involving a Pringle which I didn't plan. There are also a couple of enticing extras. All in all, I feel there's a strong case for you buying this DVD and I for one would be delighted if you did.
Seamlessly interweaving archival war footage and a fictional narrative, this immersive account by STUART COOPER of one twenty-year-old’s journey from basic training to the front lines of D-Day brings to life all the terrors and isolation of war with jolting authenticity. Overlord, impressionistically shot by Stanley Kubrick’s long-time cinematographer JOHN ALCOTT, is both a document of World War II and a dreamlike meditation on human smallness in a large, incomprehensible machine.Special Features:Restored high-definition digital transfer, supervised and approved by director Stuart Cooper, with uncompressed monaural soundtrackAudio commentary featuring Cooper and actor Brian StirnerMining the Archive, a 2007 video piece featuring archivists from London’s Imperial War Museum detailing the footage used in the filmCapa Influences Cooper, a 2007 photo essay featuring Cooper on photographer Robert CapaCameramen at War, the British Ministry of Information’s 1943 film tribute to newsreel and service film unit cameramenA Test of Violence, Cooper’s 1969 short film about the Spanish artist Juan GenovésGermany Calling, a 1941 Ministry of Information propaganda film, clips of which appear in OverlordExcerpts from the journals of two D-day soldiers, read by StirnerTrailerPLUS: A booklet featuring an essay by critic Kent Jones, a short history of the Imperial War Museum, and excerpts from the Overlord novelization by Cooper and Christopher HudsonClick Images to Enlarge
